The Perfect Zoo
All I dream is the perfect day at the
zoo
I can see zebras, lions, and maybe
monkeys too
I dream of a place where animals roam
free
Crowds walk aimlessly with no where to
be
I dream of lions with prey to
stalk
With no electric fences able to
shock
I dream of green pastures flooded with
herds
Of cattle and sheep their voice yet to be heard
I dream of birds flying high with their
flock
That migrates to the south to perch on a
dock
I dream of free entry to all God has
made
Survival of the fittest inherits no
aid
Critters in the ground or climbing on
rocks
Able to explore outside of a
box
Plants and trees moved out of
place
Alongside fake nature is such a
disgrace
I dream for the concrete to be washed
away
To walk through the grass, the dirt and the clay
I dream that the cages would just
disappear
Then the animals need no reason to
fear
We as people be at peace with these
creatures
Then we`ll coexist in a more perfect
feature
On display all day meant for our
pleasure
From forest to seas and plucked from the
dessert
Against their will forced to
remain
In an unfit habitat made
insane
If only people could see as I
do
Life would run wild and free no need for
a zoo
